I think some of the conflicting arguments here seem from whether or not you want a great acoustic sound, or a great amplified sound. As much progress has been made of melding the two, there still has to be a compromise on one side or the other if it's one guitar, especially if playing loudly.

I find the Cabaret to be fine acoustically and just as good amplified.Someone i know had a Buscarino Cabaret and after playing my Cabaret,he sold the Buscarino and bought a used Eastman Cabaret. To quote him,the Eastman was 90 percent of the Buscarino at a fourth of the price. He feels less nervous taking the Eastman to his gig than he did the Buscarino.Quite honestly,in a band situation,i doubt most people would tell the difference between the Eastman or the Buscarino.

Acoustically I mean, what little I've heard of its amplified voice doesn't appeal to me at all (piezo quack) but I have no use for it other than the using it for tuning in noisy settings (and even that isn't perfect as the top itself acts as a VLD mic).
