So last year I picked up a really nice Epiphone Es-135 with two upgraded SD pickups. Plays great sounds great but I always wondered what a Charlie Christian would sound like in the neck position? I’ve looked and came up empty handed. Any opinions or examples out there?

How would you install this in the middle of the center block of that guitar?

I think Biltoft/Vintage Vibe sells a humbucker sized Charlie pickup so maybe you can pioneer your ES with them. Pete makes nice pickups! I've never heard a bad sounding CC pickup so I don't think you will be risking much giving it a try.

....I'm not sure that'd fit either, but my first thought was - I'd bet that guitar would weigh a ton if you did make that fit.......

I've seen a couple of semi-hollows with CC-style pickups in humbucker or P90 sized housings, such as this Koll.

One forum member here has, or had, a Gibson ES-339 with a Biltoft or Lollar CC pickup in the neck humbucker slot.

A "true" CC pickup (three screws, large magnets), would likely require too much routing of any guitar's centre block.

Creamery pickups in England make the best humbucker drop-in CC pickup I've ever heard.

Another vote for the Biltoff humbucker sized CC. Great sounding pickup.

Yes, I was all set to buy one of these after reading your ringing endorsement of them previously. i had a friend visiting the UK in September, figuring I could have it posted locally and avoiding expensive UK international postage, so I contacted Creamery early August. they replied they were on holiday till the end of August. I never got a follow up email though, but then found a shop here that had a Lollar CC, so I’ve had that installed. I’ll pick it up Friday just in time for a Friday night gig. looking forward to hearing it.
    Cheers!

He is just a one-man operation, and occasionally closes his order book when he gets too many.
