Hey Everyone,
My good friend Christian let me come over and try some of his TOOB speakers and let me borrow his Metro FR6.5 and BAM 200. I gigged it last week and it sounded great.
Here's a little thing on Body and Soul using this set up. This is some great sounding gear!
Recorded using an Ipad Pro.
Enjoy!

The gig I did with it was in a large room with maybe about 15-20 people sitting down where the band was and about 20 or so people behind us were dining. It was in a Pub so people were having a few conversations, drinking and some were listening. I played with an amplified upright bass and a drummer. They both had no problem hearing me. Management seemed to be happy and said everything sounded great. People seemed to enjoy it too. I had the amp off the floor on a chair.

How would you rate the output compared to all these small solid state guitar amps out there, quilter, aer, dv mark, etc.? Most of these are about 60 watts more or less, and the bam is supposed to be a lot louder. I'm tempted to get one, being that cheap, as i already have a nice light 10' speaker and can use that rig for guitar and bass also (although i very rarely gig on bass or need an amp for it). There is practically nothing on Youtube with that amp on a gig with guitar.

The BAM is great. You won't have to worry about headroom at all in my opinion. Obviously I can only push the BAM so much with a speaker that is rated at 130W. My guitar's pickup has a low output. We tested it side-by-side with Christians 175 and 335. But I felt like I had no problem with being heard on the gig. I didn't have to push the amp or speaker too hard either.

Here are some short clips from a gig last night that my younger brother took. Hopefully it can give you an approximate of the sound and volume of the metro FR and BAM200! Please use headphones for the best possible experience. The Bass was a bit louder than I would usually like, but I was told that the guitar was still clearly audible.

Overall it is pretty mellow, it is a sound that would work well with most archtops.

The guitar sounds, and I thought the mix was well balanced. How loud were you turned up? Did you have clean headroom left on the amp?
