I have got both, a 8" Mambo and a 10" Mambo, but prefer the 8". It's noticably lighter and sounds a little tighter than the 10".

I don't think Jon still produces the 8 version.

For hollow bodies I've used various Fenders, JC120, bass amps, a Polytone and a DV Mark Jazz 12 briefly.
Current favourite is Mambo 10" wedge through an open Zilla 2x10" with Celestion G10 Vintage.

It's still listed on his website. I just remember that he also had a 12" version but stopped it a while ago ......

This might exclude some of the value Asian makers.
So.. what happens if you leverage the highly valued dollar and buy something priced in euro/pound/yen?
Finally.. not a combo but have you tried a speaker IR through your main rig? I was kind of shocked how good it sounded running through a Redstone 1X12. That and pretty entertaining tech.Last edited by Spook410; 10-22-2022 at 08:11 PM.

The new Henriksen Class D amps are what you want Mark. A Blu 6 will probably do everything you want.
