Due to a unfortunate collision with a cow on my Ducati 900 SS/SP, I had shoulder surgery last Tuesday. I'm looking at several weeks of recovery. Needless to say, it's difficult to get my right arm around/over a 3" depth guitar-my beloved 1990 Benedetto Cremona, 1953 Epi Triumph Regent, Dupont MC 30-14 are all that deep and painful to practice on. I no longer own a semi or solid body. My 05 Eastman Pisano is the closest that I can do at 16" and 2 1/2" depth.
So I'm thinking (probably a bad thing given all the Painkillers I'm on..). I tried out the D'A at NAMM when they were introduced and was impressed. But now difficult to find and expensive. Which made me think of the Guild M-75. Chambered, lightweight. Ticks some boxes. Less money for a guitar I won't be using on gigs as soon as I'm comfortable with 3" depth.
Tele/Squire thinline or G&L Tribute ASAT? I had one of those and it was a fine guitar. I ended up giving it to a friend that was going through some rough times.
So let's focus on the Guild. Anybody have one? Impressions?
    TIA

For a long time, in any venue, and with any group, this go-to guitarist used one of those Guilds and few, if any, others. I'll safely say twenty years, because it's more than that !

Good luck with your recovery !!

Sorry, to hear of your accident as one who spent years trying to avoid deer bent on a suicide mission I can empathize. I own the model D'Aquisto you mentioned and if you are interested in buying, drop me a PM or email and I can provide details.

I played a D’Aquisto DQ-CRE in the past and wish I had purchased it. Nice alternative to solid body guitars of the similar size… lightweight and compact.

I do play a tele-style guitar a lot… different tone, but does it’s thing well. I’ve owned thine-line teles for the f-hole look, but IMO, they still sound just like a solid tele.

This Campellone might meet your needs as well size wise…

Have you considered holding a 16" in classical position (playing seated seems wise anyway for the time being)? I've added an Armadillo armrest to mine which allows me to rest the arm without the guitar edge being pushed into my forearm.

    Meanwhile...
