Actually, the repair isn't completely invisible - even though the break closed back up pretty tightly, the fracture lines are still somewhat visible from close up - a burst would've covered the tracks completely, but this was the best I could do with a natural finish -

I suppose the pots are 500k.
Are the pots linear or reverse log?
For me such pots are always difficult to source.
-
Beautiful work, both sides!
-
As far as I am aware they are specified as 500K “audio taper”.

Regular audio taper (logA) thumbwheel pots are easy to buy. But for correct operation you will need either linear or reverse log (logC) pots. In 500k size I can find only the expensive Schatten pots. They cost more than 10 times of normal thumbwheel pots.
If there would be another source for linear or reverse log pots, I would be happy!

I get your point bluenote61. To give some background into my twin pickup wishes they are essentially:
1) To ensure that when I use the neck pickup then the bridge pickup should be completely out of the circuit - so it becomes a single pickup guitar. Hence poor Mark having to accommodate a switch in there.
2) While it would be nice for the bridge pickup alone to provide some usable tones, years of conditioning make me think of songs like Back in Black
. I am more looking for some sweet mixed pickup tones. Those same years of conditioning make me reach for the individual volume controls to back one off to make subtle variations. As long as whatever taper is there allows me to do this I’m set. I accept that some of those positions may take some finding initially.
Mark has been using these controls for a while and I understand they are popular with players so I’m not expecting any shocks.

Is that first guitar amber burst or cherry sunburst?

This one though....

I'd love a closer look at the dark red one when she's finished
(and yes, I'm trying to pick a color for mine!)
-
From what I can see of that one it will be a stunning finish.

These are in fact 500K Schatten thumbwheel controls, and right, they're not cheap - they do work nicely, though, with very even action throughout the rotation -

My wife and one of the daughters really like the amberburst, and the 20th Anniversary I posted up above...you really can't argue against that
I have 2 more daughters I want to talk to, because as I told Mark all my taste is in my mouth! lol

I hope you enjoy the brief thread Jack
Mark is a master at colored finishes. Here is my 18 inch Mark Campellones special. It's darker than a faded cherry but it's not a wine red I jokingly call it a bloody Mary and these are the best pictures I've got up it's true personality.

An 18" Special...I'm speechless

Gorgeous!

I also have a blonde 18 inch special that just got more flame on it than you can imagine.
as you guys know you can call Mark and he is so available and friendly and informative to talk to you and he said that the 17 inch body is actually his perfect guitar.
Having owned a really spectacular standard with an upgraded wood package I gotta say it with your eyes closed they all sound so good and have the most comfortable field to them.
I think Vinny and I agree that Mark out gibson's gibson buy a mile.

Well he’s certainly doing that with mine. He has unwittingly created Pelham Blue Sunburst!

Another masterpiece completed
