As usual another awesome batch !
Mark is a American treasure to the archtop guitar.
Steve you will LOVE that Special buddy and Congrats to all big time.
-
Breathtaking!
-
With Mark Campellone around no need to worry about great Gibson type Archtops not being made! Lovely guitars!
-
I just noticed Kluson tuners on the humbucker Deluxe.
Interesting batch. One CC pu and a DeArmond.
The great thing about Mark is he will go outside the box (within reason). Try that with Gibson.
-
The Natural with the 1pc Barber-pole neck and the tight quilted back is my favorite.
I just love the white wood look.
Mark, You are brilliant.

M. Campelone's work is charachterised by elegant design, exquisite proportion, immaculate execution and attention to the smallest detail, and finished in shades worthy of a Titian. Masterworks, each and every one.
-
The standard with the CC, Deluxe’s, the blonde with the perfect back. Yep, those are Campellone’s!
-
Their is a reason he now has a 4 year wait time. People that buy one must have another. The word got out.
A Campellone is basically a better made L-5 on steroids.
His sunbursts are also a tough act to follow.
-
I'm so glad I don't have to pick one. Lovely group! Blondes are beautiful. A couple of the burst are simply stunning!
Beautiful, all of them.

Mine is the Dark Cherry Burst Standard with the floating Biltoft CC pickup. It’s arriving here tomorrow, and I can’t contain my excitement. It’s #581.
Mark is so great to work with and a great guy. It has been a wonderful experience working with him on this build. There are no surprises. He is absolutely transparent and sticks to his schedule. This will be a bucket list instrument for me.
-
Congrats Mark M. !!! Trust me you will want another down the road.
They are that good. Mr.Campellone is a American treasure.
You will be a very happy camper.
-
I keep coming back to l@@k at this batch. So cool, and a real variety of detail. I'd love to handle and hear each one~
-
It’s here and I’m blown away. I really can’t believe how perfect it is and how great the CC sounds. And, how it sounds unplugged. This is easily the best archtop I’ve ever owned or played. More later in a new post when I can catch my breath.

I've got a Campellone Special that he made for me in 2017. I only had to wait about seven months, and it was fantastic value for money.
It's quilted maple back and sides. Everything on it is more or less standard, except that he agreed to make me a 1 13/16" nut and a slightly wider than normal spread at the bridge.
It is a lifetime guitar for me. I've got a lot of guitars, but this one is easily the last one I'd part with. It's incredibly playable, and sounds perfect for my purposes (fingerstyle mostly jazz).
EDIT: and I should have mentioned that it is acoustically the best sounding archtop I've ever heard.Last edited by vanceen; 09-23-2022 at 04:40 PM. Reason: more information

Light as a feather.
That back is Old European cello wood.
This baby sings like a songbird!
Clear as a bell, balanced, and evenly voiced.
Thank the heavens for Mark Campellone!

Marks workmanship and level of build consistency is really unmatched. I'm thrilled for all the new owners. I have a Campellone Special made from all Euro woods and its an excellent guitar.

I ordered the guitar and had Mark put on the Kluson, i have the same ones on my 74 L5. always like look and feel. I just got guitar yesterday.
It is amazing. I have another of Marks guitars a Standard 2015 blond floating pickup....a very accoustic style, I wanted something that would be a bit more accoustic than L5 but not as much as the Standard......This guitar nailed it, just a stunner.
Will be using it at tonights gig, and everyone from here on out. Its like its got the best aspects of my Standard, the L5, and the Es335.

I visited Joe Vinikow's one day over a decade ago because I couldn't stand it any longer just looking at his website. When I got there he told me try any that I wanted to. Old Gibson's, Benedetto's, etc., and I did, and the M. Campellone blonde I played that day was the best guitar that I remember, and the first one of Mark's guitars that I had played.
That brings me to today. This blonde Special is extraordinary. I'm not kidding.

It has a surprisingly acoustic voice. Here it is, along with a 2003 Standard Custom, also with a Gibson 24.6" scale neck, snakehead, and (at the request of the customer) Gibson-style f-holes. Siblings, made 21 years apart.
