A 2011 MIJ Gretsch Power Jet coming from sea to shining sea. It should be here in about two weeks.

beautiful!
-
Ha, great title! I hope it can fit into your neck/scale preference.
-
That should be nice.
I found a good deal on one of the MIJ Jets a few years ago. Mine has the Bigsby.
Now I'll have to get it out and play it.
-
Ah, nice guitar. Its the George Harrison kind of model, a 6128 right? I believe that George had a Bigsby on.
-
That was one of the attractions. It's 24.6 which ought to be short enough for me to play in standard pitch with 10's. It's heavily chambered and under 7 lbs. The Powertrons are PAF-like and the small body and lack of a Bigsby probably make this the perfect Gretsch for me. I'd probably like the string spacing a bit wider but that's true of all production guitars and every review describes the neck as chunky (which is definitely my preference)

Enjoy that guitar Jim!

Maybe this one is the result of the phenomenon of craving. I did a pedal swap earlier in the day. If a new pedal is good then a new guitar must be better.

This will be a true test of "is it the Arrow, or is it the Indian". I am betting on the Indian.
Good Luck with the new guitar. And, dont worry too much about buying new guitars. When your desire to try out new stuff fades, THATS when you have to start worrying!
Enjoy and live~

Nice guitar Jim. I bought one last spring. It really has a different tone to it that I am really enjoying.
Thanks John

Yes. I think the Bigsby version makes it a 6128T

Looking forward to your NGD in-hand report!

By the way, I was not going to buy any more guitars either!
Thanks John

I had a play of one of these at my local music shop a while back - - it was very nice!

Hi Jim,
Without digressing too much, did you ever think further on the Ibanez AMH90?
David
-
Not really. They were impossible to get here for a really long time and eventually I just stopped thinking about them. That's happened with the last couple of Ibanez guitars that got my attention. Canada is a secondary market and Halifax is considered a secondary market within Canada (and Dartmouth is considered a secondary market within Halifax
