Hello seniors, I have a Gibson L-5 CES. Recently, I found that its neck is slightly downward. I don’t know if it is not done properly. As shown in the picture, there is an inaccurate octave problem. Remember that I just bought it. I don't have this problem, I would like to ask if this can be adjusted and repaired? Thank you ?

The neck on all archtops is angled so the bridge can have a breakover well above the peak of the top. The bridge is also adjustable so intonation can be set by placing the floating bridge where it needs to be.
    Is this what you're asking?

It is easy enough to suggest adjust the truss rod, but those of us that do it all the time may not have done it the first time on an L5. In fact I stared tearing apart old Kay guitars, not ten-thousand dollar Gibson L5s.
So, maybe take it to a local repair shop for adjustment.

I can see no evidence of any picture. From the post, it is impossible to tell what the problem is, if there is one.

    "Seniors"?

No doubt news to you, but that isn't a particularly polite way to address a group of strangers.

Still.. if you post some detailed pictures of your Dad's guitar you might get additional insights on it.

Judging from other phrases in the post, I believe he meant it as a compliment. As in "advanced," or "experienced." Not our age.

I took it as meaning "those who have been here longer", or something like that. I doubt the OP's native language is English, which is certainly not a negative thing. It's not the native language of most of the world. My posts in any other language would undoubtedly be worse.

Don't mind us; some of us are actual Senior Citizens, like myself; nonetheless, some of us, like myself, tend to be Fresh Men. We mean no harm.

As to your inaccurate octave problem, odds favor the bridge needing some attention to correct the intonation. It should take a qualified repairman very little time to set things right.

Congratulations on a superb Jazz Guitar!

Indeed, there's quite a few seniors active here, including myself (76 in November.) I think the OP means peers, to which role many Forum Members (not me) definitely are more than qualified. But yes: no photo, no help.

On other fora they say that if there are no pictures, it didn't happen. Since it concerns a L5CES, some coulance should be granted. But seriously, there are many experts here, without a couple of pictures, it is hard to tell what is going on with that guitar.
