I ordered a Superblock US exactly one year ago this week. It was backordered, and the estimated delivery date was late September. That was pushed back regularly and steadily into December, and it turned out that the shipment was marooned off the southern California coast. By the last week in December, I decided that I didn't want one that had been sitting on the Pacific for months, so I changed the order to a DV Mark EG250 head to take advantage of the winter holiday sale on its last day.
But I still wanted a SB. So I waited until this week, when a fresh shipment arrived at MF. I ordered it on Tuesday and it came this morning. It's everything everybody says it is and more - amazingly great tone, very responsive like a fine tube amp, sweet, and cute as a button. I recorded the first tune I played on it to hear what it sounds like through the Toob 10S, and I think it sounds fantastic! See what you think......

Yep, cute as a button -- and you sound great! The SB/Toob is a great rig!
[I liked the "57" voice for my playing .. which voice are you using in the vid?]
Enjoy!

I've been known to do dumb stuff like plug the Superblock US into a massive Bandmaster cab and plug the Twin Reverb into the tiny Toob 6.5.

It’s the 65. I’m playing with the controls now to learn how they affect the sound. I really love the balanced tone I get on my Eastman through this rig. The sound is much more responsive to the tone pot on the guitar than any other amp / speaker combination I’ve tried since I got it except the Blu. I’m thrilled with the SB and thrilled with the Toob!

It ain't dumb and it ain't crazy - it's education, it's fun, and it's the only way to find out how stuff sounds. I devoted our first set last night to experimentation with both gear and music. I set up my pair of Metros with the PR and the Vibrolux, and I ran my Tele 7 with Lace Alumitones through my new Zoom pedal set to stereo chorus. I figured I'd get into the Sco / Stern / McLaughlin realm with some serious processing, but I overdid it a bit and will tone it down next time. One thing I learned is that the Zoom MB60 pedal is not designed for easy adjustment during live performance. I tried to reduce the depth of the chorus a bit but succeeded only in screwing up my concentration. It's a fine pedal that sounds wonderful, but it's best used as an on-off device. It's a Tower of Power effect - "don't change horses in the middle of a stream"! Nevertheless, here's a take on What Kind of Fool Am I -

I think you had an even longer wait than I did which is bonkers. Supply chains eh?

Well this fool at least is in seventh heaven! Such great playing and nice commentary. Thank you, Never... and others! I'm getting a serious load of the "right" SICAs in a week or two and have 16 Metros under construction for starters.
Cheers,

With a slight touch of reverb, flat EQ, high main & low gain, it’s gorgeous - enough wood, a bit o’thunk, consistent tone from low A to high D.
I haven’t yet compared it side by side with the Blu 6 - but I’ll do that after the holiday weekend. They’re both great, and a Toob 10S with a Superblock is only a little more than half the cost of a Blu 6 at list price. They’re different animals apart from producing similarly great jazz tone. The Blu is smaller and louder but lacks the ability to dial in sustain and dirt. The SB/10S combo is enough to play most gigs, and even a 6.5” Toob with a SB will cover 90% of what the 10” will do.
I also have to try my laminated 16” archtop thru it - haven’t gotten to that yet. More to come - man, this is fun!!!

Excellent!
