A while back I had a real interest in getting an ES-339. I have a Gibson Memphis ES-335, and the appeal of the smaller, but similar shape and features had me thinking seriously of getting one. Now, I'm no longer in the market, and of course, now one pops up. Elderly Instruments (a fine, reputable seller) just landed a 2012 Epiphone ES-339 Ultra, and it looks sweet! The price is good, and the only flaw is what is described as a "funky knob."
If this has an appeal for you, here's the link: Epiphone ES-339 Ultra (2012)

Yeah, there's always a funky knob....like on mine!
A really great guitar, Mine has P90's. I tried the HB'er version in stores, maybe a few, and they just didn't have the magic that the P90 versions had. So I ordered one at GC, and when it came in, I was there when they opened the box.
I couldn't believe my eyes or ears!
It was (and is) perfect. I haven't changed anything. I thought about "improving" it. I put on an aluminum TP, and didn't like it. Back to the stock. My buddy gave me (free) some Lollar or Fralin P90's to try out in this guitar. I thought and thought about the swap, and decided that the stock P/ups were great. So - no going thru that painful trauma of a semi-hollow p/up swapping!
The guitar is GREAT as is. I got lucky.

A EPI ES-339 Pro is my main cab testing guitar. Absolutely flawless. Very gig-friendly, too, especially in a padded bag. There's several alternatives in the test corner, but most visiting guitarists prefer the 339. Oh yes, time to change strings on that one.

I have an Epiphone 339 pro also. Love the shape. This guitar truly is a cross of a 335 and a les paul, in sound, compression and response.
Is this one used though? This should be the price for a new one?

I think the price reflects the fact that you can usb it to your tv.
