The problem for me was how loud that pickup is. It is so loud I had to lower it till it was at the level to the pickguard and the bridge pickup, a Fender mid 60's vintage pu, was as high as possible. And the bridge pu sounded like half a humbucker. Thin as.
Great jazz sound but be aware. ITS WAY LOUD.
I have exactly the same guitar (Squier CV 60s) and the same PU setup - just with a Biltoft CC instead of a Lollar. I have the same volume imbalance between the two PUs. However so far I seldom use the bridge PU so it doesn't matter much to me. But I guess I could have Pete Biltoft make a bridge PU matching the output of the CC if I wished.

To the OP like others have said: Don't butcher your Custom Shop Tele. Get a cheap Tele body for routing a PU cavity that the CC will fit into. If you like the neck for your Custom Shop Tele, just move it to the cheap body. That's the beauty of the Fender module builds. I didn't like the fairly slim neck on my Squier so I bought a fatter mexican made Tele neck which fits in the neck pocket without modifications.
