Back in my office with my new/old Campellone. There wasn't really anything more I could ask for. Priced most excellent; guitar and case appear as-new, with no blemishes on anything, anywhere; zero fret wear. Neck, setup, everything on the spot. I feel like I bought new, discounted. I'm a very happy man. I don't get to plug it in until tonight though. Here's a few quick photos from my office for the 'pics or it didn't happen' crowd. It's a 2014 Standard Custom, and my guess is the woods have been upgraded, the pickguard, and the light weight tuner keys. I'll likely call Mark to ask. Great local deal, and John, if you are on this forum (I forgot to ask), THANK YOU! Check it out~ BTW, there is some awesome birds-eye on the neck that doesn't show in these pics. It's really gorgeous!

    I'm noticing more....
Is the rosewood headstock veneer unusual? I really like it.
Also, I don't see these with the rosewood truss rod cover, another nice touch~.
for the record: 3"d, 24.6" scale length, 16" bout, 1 11/16" neck width.

    I’ve seen it on a few Standard’s. And those I’ve seen I don’t recall a dotted fretboard.

I just has a nice conversation with Mark Campellone. This was a 'spec build' he was having some fun with at the time... (2014). Awesome guy, with good record/info on the build. I'm sure you can tell how stoked I am with this one~

Wow that's beautiful. Hope you put some serious wear into those unblemish frets and lightly dull the shine where your arm touches the upper bout from so many happy hours playing it!

Mark Campellone has been quietly pumping out masterpiece archtops for decades. A BIG congrats. A real stunner.

That chevron rosewood headstock overlay is a lovely touch, along with the rosewood trim. Some of Mark's customers do love their rosewood! Here's one of mine:

The Second Campellone I ever bought was a standard with an upgraded wood package and it had Macassar Ebony fingerboard pickguard and headstock overlay. and it was anything but standard what’s the most remarkably comfortable guitar to play and sounded so great
You did good and that will be your new best friend for a very long time congratulations
