New Strat

Nope, not an archtop. Not a Tele. It’s a PRS SE Silver Sky. You’ve seen them. Looks like a Strat, but with a funny looking headstock.

I’m pretty happy with it so far. Sounds like a Strat. Plays like a PRS. Pickups are good. It’s lighter than the average Strat. Got all the classic Strat sounds. Nice and spanky. I’m thinking this is gonna work out.

When you say that it plays like a PRS what do you mean?

Thanks. Yes, it’s a 25.5” scale. I should probably clarify my remarks. It’s got an 8.5” radius neck, but the neck carve otherwise feels a lot like my PRS Hollowbody. Very comfortable, at least for me.

No, me neither. I might have preferred something slightly flatter, but I got used to it pretty quickly. It’s quite comfortable. I’ve never picked up a PRS that didn’t play really well. It’s one of the reasons I bought it.
