Does anybody know if there is any possibility to erase a loop after it was already stopped without it getting into playback mode for a second?
I need the option when I first stop playback of the loop and only a little while later I do erase it if I need to... and when I try to erase it starts playback.
I see that it is because of the multifunctional buttons - you press the button and it is a playback, you hold it is deleting.
There is stop button that does not have playback function and it does deleting without any sounds... but it deleted both 1 and 2 chanel loops and I need to delete only one.

Press and hold the rec/play button for just that channel. It will only erase the loop on that channel. I just got rid of my x4. I liked the idea of it, but mine had some firmware problem I couldn't resolve, making the stop/start timing inconsistent. Got a Boss RC5 to replace it. Voila - no more timing problems.
If you continue to have problems, try updating the firmware. I hope that works for you. Like I said, I liked the way the looper is set up to work with verse/chorus looping, but I just couldn't get mine to work reliably. Some others have had similar problems, yet others still have had great results.

Just my two cents... I will never buy another TC Electronic product. I have had too many problems with their pedals.
(Being that I have been playing music for a long time, I have had plenty of problems with stuff, but most companies make it easy to fix. Send it in, and they will fix it and send it back. Sometimes for free, or sometimes for a reasonable price. Source Audio, pigtronix, empress effects, and roland... and others: have been great. Avid went out of their way to help me with a 001. Roland has has helped me work issues out over the phone. Source Audio even gave me new knobs. That is more typical. TC treated me poorly, and was just unreasonably).

Thank you!
I had issues with small ditto.
X4 is working fine so far.
Tge feature I am talking about seems it is just like it should be.
If you stop playback and only after full stop want to delete the loop it first starts playback for a second and only after that being deleted.
I need 2 channel looper where I could easily manipulate with both channels in live playing. (Or 2 separate loopers with comfortable controls)
I believe the main problem here for me is that ditto has one button for everything. If it had separate stop/erase button there would be no problem.

I have the X4 and had an X1 as well. The X1 was too limited with the single button, so I gave it to my daughter and her boyfriend to play around with.
I had some electronic issues with my X4 as well requiring it to be sent in twice. Apparently, they replaced the motherboard, which was reportedly a problem with the earlier versions of that model.
I find it too complex for my needs. I would prefer an X2 I think. Having the single stop button is nice. I don't really need all the effects. I am not doing multi-part loops. It would be nice to have an easy way to save loops without hooking to a computer.
That said, I went to a recent show and saw a guy using an X4--worked well for him. His were not unusually complex loops ala Andrew Bird or Tash Sultana, which would require a more sophisticated setup.
I concur with what Zigracer said about holding just the button for the loop you're using--will erase the last recording only.
