All that does is cut power to the output transformer, everything else is powered normally. I think Class D is the way of the future, for many reasons.
Is the LJ a Class D amp? I couldn't find a definitive answer on that.

So, just in case it's of interest to anyone else, after some hours playing with the Nux Mighty Lite, I dialed in a lovely clean warm sound quite easily. The only effect I added was a little reverb. It has a phone app that controls it via Bluetooth Midi, and also comes with some sample backing tracks that play via Bluetooth audio through it. I was soon jamming along nicely. It's only 3 watts, and that translates to about 2 to 3 times louder (my guess) than the guitar played acoustically, a little less if you keep it real clean. More than enough for practice and general home use.

The extra features, like the tremolo, phasor, chorus, vibrato all work well, and it has four delays and four reverb types, plus a noise gate. The amp itself has a crunch mode, and a metal distortion mode which I will never use. It has a drum machine inbuilt that I will probably never use.

Interesting, like I saw mentioned in a youtube video, because it is a modeling amp, it does emulate things like a little bit of crunch on the top when you drive it hard in clean mode, just like any small combo amp does. It allows a nice variation in sounds controlled by touch as you play the guitar.

So, a battery modelling amp that comes with an AC adapter, plus it can be powered from the USB connector that also allows firmware updates. When powered from USB it has less volume though.

Was your power station spec’ed as having a pure sine wave?

Roland’s Street Cube- or is it Cube Street - is powerful and goes long. If you use a class D you can buy the Makita 18W connector for its batteries on AliExpress, add a pure sine 100W (150 peak) with low no-load draw and 90% or more efficiency. Friend of mine makes these for professional street performers. (He also does outdoor rave parties on solar, very very loud for a crowd of 300 outdoors. )

My wife uses a Bose S1 Pro for her vocals when we rehearse in house. I have plugged in a few guitars and it sounds pretty nice. For a busking duo this would absolutely work fine. And you can still hook up an Iridium if you want more amp-like sounds.
