An inexpensive Spanish made Almansa 434.
I stumbled upon this locally, played it for about 20 minutes, and I had to have it. It will work perfectly on my new project, which is finally getting around to recording all the lullabies I wrote for my kids when they were little. It just so happens they all have a Brazilian feel.
Here's one of them, but played "straight," as a solo piece.
Antbody else have an Almansa or Alhambra (think they're made in the same factory)

I used to have an Almansa. It was the first guitar I got when I returned to playing guitar about seventeen years ago. It benefited from some setup work; the bridge saddle was a bit high.
-
I had a nice Alhambra that I sold to another forum member. They are very nice guitars for the money. It was my gateway instrument into my obsession with classical and flamenco guitars.
-
Nice playing, as always. It sounds like you know all the chords.

You truly should place an emphasis on song writing. In your spare time. Seriously, that piece was sublime, and I had to give it several listens. You ever consider publishing your songs? I’d publish you in a heartbeat!

Nice playing. I have an Almansa 401 cedar which I think is pretty good for the money. I like Almansas better than similar-priced Yamahas which are popular. Almansas seem louder and more responsive to me. Your 434 is a step up from my 401 of course. My 401 is sort of my travel/vacation guitar.
How are you adjusting to the fatter neck? Do you know what strings are on it? Does it feel comfortable to play?
Dave

Thank yous!
I've had a classical of some sort since I was 15, so the neck isn't much of an adjustment...but the last 10 years or so I've had only guitars that could be amplified as well that were more in the performance/crossover range, so I had kind of thought about a straight up acoustic guitar for a while, just not acted on it.
I'm definitely focusing on writing/working on tunes I've written right now, which is why I've been around a little less.

I have an Almansa 401 which I bought for 280 pounds in 2016.
It's a nice guitar and although I only use it for left-hand warm ups and a run through of Bach's BWV 998 in the morning these days, I like doing that - certainly it feels very comfortable with the Ergoplay guitar support.

I have been shopping for a "good" classical guitar. It turned out to be a job.
Here's what I have right now and (I think) may be a keeper. A brand new Kremona.

Beautiful! There was a used Kremona in the shop too, I chose the Almansa as it had lower action, which I need, as im not a real classical player.

Nice! What model is it?

It has a solid cedar top, and solid cocobolo sides and back. Ebony FB and bridge. Nice warm bottom tones, and mids.
I am currently trying strings. I need a little more in the top end, but the lower end has some growl, which is cool.

”Solea” is also one of the palos (branches/styles/types) of flamenco.
