Watching that video led me to this interesting video about GB's guitars

Says he paid $1000 for the D'Angelico in 1968 ... that was a lot of money back then.

I've seen GB's Johnny Smith at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.


The D'Angelico discusssion reminds me of one of my favorite joe Pass albums, Live at Donte's. I remember buying it because it had JP playing what I thought was a D'Angelico on the cover ... looks more like a D'Aquisto to me now ... but the brand appears to have been blocked for the album cover
