As a classical guitarist I always feel cramped with standard neck, so I'm looking for a wider neck. I'm currently thinking about converting a 12 strings into 6 strings. Yesterday I saw a YT video where it's mentionned that Epiphone Emperor II pro Joe pass have an unusual wide neck with 1.77'' - 45mm at the nut.
In the specs I found in different sites the spec is only 1 11/16''.
If you are owner of this model could you confirm the real measure?
Thank you!

My guitar is an Epiphone Joe Pass II - the neck width is 1 11/16'' (43 mm). The info in the video is wrong.
Anyway is a good, honest guitar.
Ciao

The only brand I'm aware that consistently makes guitars with nut widths > 1-11/16" is Eastman. Their's are almost all 1-3/4". Godin's are listed .72" (43.688 mm), but having had one it doesn't feel any bigger than 1-11/16" IMO. Anything bigger than 1-3/4" than is very unusual. 1-11/16" is the standard set by Gibson, and it's the one most commonly found on archtops.
