Has anyone seen a Heritage Super Eagle without the actual Eagle on the headstock? Looking at this:

Heritage Classic Super Eagle Natural Second Hand | Fanatic | Reverb

I’m no Heritage Expert, but I thought the Super Eagle ALWAYS had a carved spruce top. I guess anything could be custom ordered though. It look kind of like a fancier H-550. The listing also says semi-hollow though. Eagle on Heritage SE Headstock

I’m sure someone with more knowledge will weigh in.

Yes, something not altogether right here.
I haven't heard from the seller / store yet.

    That's an H-550, not a Super Eagle.

Among other things, the bridge on an H-550 is on studs set into the top (i.e., is not movable), while the bridge on the Super Eagle is on a typical wooden archtop bridge base and just sits loose on the top, held in place by string pressure.

Great to see this. Thank you very much. They're a little confused, then. Too bad.

The guy is confused. It's a H-550. It's a laminate 17" guitar. The specs he has listed are wrong in many instances.

    It's a beautiful instrument.

And if you wanted something fairly close to an ES-350, this would be close.

    I would be harsher.

"Confused" is when you don't know whether to take the left or right fork in the road.
"Mistaken" is when you get your facts wrong.
"Negligent" is when you get easily verified facts wrong.
    Harsher adjectives are available.

I see the seller has edited his/her post by now. [edit, line added]

My Heritage guitar shows the model number on a label visible inside the bass-side F-hole. If the label's there, the seller could have looked.

Yes. The seller finally changed it to H-550.

    That’s a great-looking 550!

@tomvwash, are you planning to get the guitar, now that its not a Super Eagle?

No, thank you for asking. I will wait it out for something similar, all solid, front and back. It is nice-looking, though! If someone goes for this, it is also offered on their website, no taxes.

Do you actually see it there? I don’t find it under Jazz Guitars, or searching for Heritage.

Xavier at Fanatic shop said it was now live on their site--that was more than 6 hours ago. Right, I still don't see it. Try him again on Reverb, or from their store site, not sure why it's not posted there by now.

Anyone trying to sell a laminate H-550 for over $4k, and totally misrepresenting it in their ad to support the high price is simply wrong.

    Caveat emptor!!

Agreed. Price is way high, even by Reverb standards. "Sold" listings went for half that amount.

Looks like the link in the OP still works
And it states it already is in someone's basket.
I would not pay for such an amount for a H-550, even if it's in great shape, even in Europe

Is he confused or has he just found a way to increase the price of an h-550?
