I prefer a lot of sustain, I process the signal and I need thick high notes. I'm assuming that isn't likely to be the forte of a gypsy jazz guitar, but I'm assuming that, since I haven't played any. I can be heard in the Showcase section of this Forum.

I have played quite a few archtops, but the sustain characteristic is different IME.

So I guess I lied about the regular rotation. I don’t think much about electrics anymore. But I still have them, and a bunch of amps I built when I went through that phase, but the only ones I use are a 5-watt vibro champ reverb and a tweed pro.
Sorry, I hadn't seen the last paragraph of your post with your instrument list.
I'm afraid my guitars fit into what I would consider to be 'additional' categories (may be less broad than yours)! and I probably have a few in each.
I currently mostly play my L5CES, ES175, Loar 700, LP Std, SGJ 2013, Am. Std. Strat (more just recently), 60s Hofner Congress (which I turned from completely unplayable to a very nice couch guitar). The other instrument I play regularly is not fretted but it has strings - an upright bass.
My most used amps are Musicman rp65 1x12 , Polytone MBIII 1x15 and Crate Limo battery combo. My Twin Amp and JCM800 have been in a cupboard for years.

Well, I added that later, so it might not have been there yet when you replied.

My “categories” aren’t meant to be complete, they are just what I realistically use regularly. As it is, I have too much stuff, I’m getting on in years, and I really need to get rid of everything and anything I’m just hanging on to because I want to have it. My government at home is increasing the pressure on me to get it done.

When I was younger and broke, gear was expensive and I had to sell one thing to get another. Eventually I swore I would never sell anything again. Now I’m paying for that decision.

I'm rather elderly now and also have too much stuff. My Wife and children undoubtedly will end up sorting everything! So far though I have labelled all my guitar cases and started putting notes inside with a small bit of info. I've done it with some of my archived pedals as well. Still a lot to do!
