I don't think 'bent' is the correct word here.

If you said “It’s designed that way” or “It’s a travel guitar” give yourself a pat on the back and a gold star sticker.

This is the Voyage Air OM solid spruce top folding guitar.

If your memory serves you well, you will remember that I had a previous VA guitar, the VAMD-02. This was the mini-dread version, with a laminated top. I bought it specifically for overseas trips, and it turned out to be an excellent guitar that was nice sounding and very playable.

However…when I bought that guitar, they didn’t have the OM version in a spruce top. I thought it might be time for an upgrade. (I gave the older lam guitar to my daughter and future SIL.) This like the prior guitar is very well made. The top has a very nice bit of curl to the grain pattern. Of course it folds and unfolds flawlessly. Not much more expensive than the laminated top, and truthfully not more than most well-made midrange flattops, with the exception that you can fold this one up for travel.

The case is very well padded and sturdy. When I went to Jamaica a few years ago, this was my only luggage. I packed clothes around the guitar and even filled the body (through the sound hole) with socks and underwear. It will fit UNDER a plane seat in a pinch, and in most overhead compartments.

There is a solid body as well, kind of an LP/Tele hybrid, which should be nice if you need a full electric.

If you travel a lot, and want/need a high quality guitar not a toy, this is worth a look.

Now if they could make an inflatable body it would be perfect... ;-)

Inflatable body? You mean like "Ms Pinky"?

BTW this is a sweet guitar. I am really liking it. In fact, I am picking it up to play as much as any of my other guitars right this minute (unplugged of course).

The sound is a definite upgrade from the laminated model I used to have, which emphasizes the importance of the soundboard. (Not sure if there’s a difference in bracing.)

If I never folded over the neck for travel, this would be IMHO one of the better flattops you could get for under $1000. The folding neck is just icing on the top.
