I maybe shipping to Australia from US. Smaller box size. 17"×17"×6 ". 10 lbs.
It appears that shipping vis USPS seems the most reasonable cost wise.
I have only been paid via PayPal in the US. Payments to and from Canada incur a fee. So is there another way to do payments from overseas?
Thanks

Look into Transferwise. It's like a bank transfer but cheaper and faster.

I have purchased a couple of guitars from USA for shipment to Australia. Paypal payments and USPS have worked well.

Looking on the Paypal site it appears that the fees are 5% + 2.6% + a Fixed fee.
Does this seem correct?

Xoom is a possibility. It's owned by PayPal, but no fees.

17"x17"x6" box has a volumetric/dimensional weight of 12.5 pounds. Most carriers would bill you the larger of the two weights, volumetric or actual. You could use a freight forwarding service located in the USA to forward your parcel to you in Australia. One such service is Borderlinx. There are caveats using such services, of course. One is that you absolutely do not know if somebody shipped you a pet rock instead of what you ordered. Second, there is no telling the condition of the goods received. Third, shippers consider the transaction completed once the goods have been received by your freight forwarder.
Buy in the USA and UK, ship globally with BorderlinxLast edited by Jabberwocky; 05-22-2021 at 05:33 AM.
