I do not know if this technically qualifies as a new amp day, but kind of, so here we are.

I consider myself a tube amp person but recently decided to branch out into the world of modeling. I checked out the posts here on the Fractal and Kemper gear and just got my Axe-FX FM3 the other day and will be playing it through QSC monitors.

I have to say I have really only messed around with the presets and I find them pretty impressive. Nothing immediately jumps out for clean jazz tone so I wanted to see if any others are using modelers and if so, what are you using for your archtop?

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for a great forum!

I have an AX8. I made a patch that I was using for gigging that I’ve really happy with. I never tried anyone else’s patches. If you load Fractal’s software onto a computer it’s really easy to edit a patch in real time.

Thanks for responding! Looking forward to digging into creating my own settings.

always the best wy to go, no matter what. Even a $55 Digitech multi-processor benefits from starting from zero rather than trying to find a preset that works.
