This is coming to live with me. It's a Vola Vasti. Made in Japan and kind of reminds me of my old Single 15 design in a T-type guitar. Should be here in about 10 days.

Cool looking Guitar. But aside from aesthetics, how does this differ from a basic original Tele with an ash body and maple neck?

Mostly just aesthetics and ergonomics. I've always liked Tele's and I had one on my list for a long time. This one gets raves for the quality of the Japanese build. It has a huge almost 50's style neck (which I really like) and they designed their own pickups to be a lot less muddy in the neck. And I was able to buy it used here in Canada for a really good price.

Looks great! It's "Tele enough" to be a Tele, and different enough to be "one in a crowd."

It will take about 10 days to get here. Canada is very big country and it's coming from the extreme Pacific coast to the Atlantic.
