I've seen smoother bursts from the guy on the pier who sells those outer space paintings he does with spray paint. The first one looks ok, even if I'm not a huge tri burst fan.

Elitist Epiphone casinos highly recommended over here. I'll take that over this all day long, especially used.

REAL Gibson bursts only look good when made at Parsons street.

A 330 is a great guitar. Light, comfortable to play and with a tone of their own. I was lucky to get one of these VOS '59 before they stopped making them and I love it. Looks and sounds just like Grant Green's.
    Gibson's new signature ES-330-img_0176-jpg
Only complaint: A friend just told me he bought a '67 (his – and my – year of birth) for 700 € less than what I payed for mine.
Now I keep telling myself: "The '67 has the narrow neck, it has the narrow neck, the neck is too narrow!"

but you got dots and the "short neck". that's worth 700 euro in my book. i'd love to hear it.

Yes, a '59 (or the RI) is the holy grail when it comes to a 330! (IMHO)

Btw, a '67 still has the 16th fret neck joint....

On the Thomann.de website, the Epiphone USA Casino is already anounced, available in 4-5 weeks for the Sunburst and a few months for the Royal Tan it says, for a price of €3,222 (about $3,781). That's actually the same price as the '59 VOS models went for a few years ago.....

I tried to find the exact price. In 1959, the first year of production, the list price was a mere $275, according to one source. However, according to another article in the same magazine by the same authors, the price had risen to $365 by 1967. I find this hard to believe.

Beautiful 330! I have a 1967 as well. I love it, but yeah the small neck and nut width are my only gripes. I can deal with it because everything else I love, but I wish the nut width was just slightly wider.
