Fender Custom Shop Jazz Tele

I haven’t seen this posted yet. Please forgive me if it has. There are many, many threads on Teles for jazz. What do you all think about this?

1. Every Tele is a "jazz Tele"
2. So many things are wrong about calling this guitar a Telecaster
3. It costs more than the last car I bought

Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing a factory run of that Tele. They wouldn’t really need to change much except probably drop the Brazilian rosewood parts in exchange for another wood.

Call that a Jazz Telecaster too... it's as much a Tele as the other guitar. OK... I'll give the first one credit for the body shape and bolt on neck.

This thread has me thinking that Telecaster fans might be a rough crowd. No wonder they have their own thread here. And as a Telecaster makes for a potentially lethal weapon, I would always be polite to the Telecaster guys myself....
