New music stand day... for the desk top. Thought this might be an idea for some of you. Sorry! Something went wrong!

That looks both functional and decorative, Frank!

That’s nice and looks great.
Ordinarily I would make something like that myself, being a woodworker, but sometimes it’s not worth the time and effort, and it only takes a click to order from Amazon.
Enjoy!

That's awesome. It there any kind of finish on it? I'd like to stain & finish one to match the darker wood finish in my home.

I hear you Dr J. It's nuts how cheap some things are. In the shop I manage we'd have to complete one of those in about 8 minutes, including finish. Not including time to source the hinges, page holders and metal back support.
Nice find Fep! I need a bigger desk. Again...

That looks neat. Useful too.
That would be good for the laptop, too, right? When I put the laptop on my desk to record (so it's pushed back a little bit) I wish it was angled up a bit. This would do that too, right.

If I were building I would have to go look at some boards and get one way bigger than what I need—no worry I can use the rest for something else. And source metal parts...would probably involve a couple of hours looking at Rockler’s catalog, and of course since I’m buying a few things might as well add on anything else I MIGHT possibly need in the next year, because, you know, shipping costs.

You know a CNC machine would make this project go real quick...
That would be one expensive music stand.Last edited by Doctor Jeff; 02-07-2021 at 05:04 PM.
