I know, no one can choose for me, depends on so many things...
But just want a bit of input because no way to audition either contender.
Going to get a new Solid state amp. Either a Quilter or a Nextone ( Boss ) The plan is to use this as a Wet amp in a Wet / Dry setup for blues, rock and prog
but the amp must also be my main standalone Jazz rig ( can be head I have some cabs ) I need to be able to dial a traditional dark, velvety tone for Es-175 and L5 type guitars...

Budget to remain under 1500$ ( the cheaper the better )
I have no option to audition either of those. Suggestions for other options welcome as well.

    Thanks to all !

    Quilter by a mile...

Of the two choices, Quilter by far. The OD200 head is something special - with the right speaker and cab. That said, my favorite SS amp of all is an Evans SE150. 20 year old 1x15 combo. Has a certain magic something in the sound. I'd be really interested to try other Evans amps.

If you are looking to a separate head and a speaker cab, DV Mark Micro 60 is substantially darker than a Quilter 101R. There's an overdrive "channel" (actually, an on-board effect) in the black version and only the clean channel in the jazz version. Quilter's digital reverb is better, but DV Mark's becomes annoyingly chorusy-tipsy only when dialed past noon.

Just received my henriksen blu6 and I absolutely love it. Mainly played fender tube amps before the henriksen.

I own and heartily recommend (1) the Evans RE200 (1x10, 200 watts) with an external cabinet if needed and (2) the Quilter 101R (50 watts) with whatever cabinet you like - I use an Ear Candy Mr Watts clone (8" Eminence Alpha A) or an open back pine cabinet with a 10" Eminence Alpha A that also serves as the external cabinet for the Evans when needed (rarely). These work very well for both Tele and Gibson ES-165.

Take a look at the Session BluesBaby22 or 45 or the Session 5E3 Extra

The Session amps have the advantage of sounding and behaving very tube-amp like, especially when overdriven.

In a jazz-setting they can sound like this (me playing my BluesBaby 22):

I built a light solid pine cab with a Jensen NEO 12-100 speaker for it and it weighs only 8.5 kgs (about 16 lbs.)

Very cool. What's powering all the gear?

love my Rosette 2x8 and, along with the flattop, play the 175 through it for an almost airy sounding thick laminate box. But rock, prog, blues? This would be my last choice.

Based on the wide variety of music you plan to use this amp for, have you considered one of the new solid state Tone Master Fender Deluxe Reverb or Twin Reverb amps?

There’s a power chord running to the quay!

I am following Templo Devices on instagram. Their Nomad model seems interesting: 50 watt, 10” Jensen Neo and battery powered!

No experience with this amp though, there are only a couple of soundclips on his insta and those are not too promising for it being a useful jazz amp....

If I were buying an amp, no question in my mind, it would be an AI Luna. But it's just a head. They do offer combos, but I haven't heard them much. IMO neither of the amps mentioned in the OP will give the desired sound.

[Do you mean "Raezer's Edge" Luna?]

Yeah, I'm not sure why I got the two mixed up. Perhaps because I often play through an AI amp and a RE cab. RE hasn't been in the amp business that long, but they deserve to be in it for a very long time, based on that amp, at least from the clips I've heard of it in use. I have far more amps than I need, but I still want one badly.
