    Hi guys!

I need a tele. Already had a highway, regret to sell it many many years ago. Now I need an other, but didnt find an US tele with so affordable price.

Also checked Tokai, the dealer here nor answers my mail, neither picks up the phone. Also doesnt call back. (good dealer they are...)

Could you suggest a cheap US or Japanese tele for me, which keeps its price, and has the tele sound in it? Problem is my budget, max 1000-1200 usd. Couldnt find used ones on ebay, nor on reverb with good prices. If its about a dealer, I can buy only from EU, doesnt wanna spend +dollars on vat, insurance, shipping etc...

    Thanks a lot,

    MrBlues

I wouldn’t rule out the Mexican made Teles. You can find a “Classic 50’s Lacquer” Tele used on Reverb for about $750 USD. They are a very good value, in my opinion. The fit and finish is good and they sound very good.

I have a G&L ASAT Tribute. Korean made? It's a perfectly fine guitar.

I would imagine you could easily find a Squier Classic Vibe in the EU, no? Very serviceable guitars, in my opinion, that sound like Teles.

Yeah .. 1000$ will get you a used us std or highway1/special, but trouble with that is patience is key. Good deals show up once or twice a year.

But if it has to be new then yeah .. I like the Classic vibes a lot too .. they tend to be heavy, but like how they feel a lot more than the standard/player series mexican teles.

Like all slab guitars, the weight varies in my experience. I've kept a
record of measurements for the Teles that have passed through my
hands over the last couple of years. That particular Squier CV 60s
weighed in at 7.8 lbs, which is kind of average. For comparison, the
heaviest was an American '52 reissue at 8.2 lbs and the lightest a
Mexican Joe Strummer at 6.8 lbs. The neck girth is part of the total,
of course. The Strummer had a very thin neck while the '50 reissues
    were considerably beefier.

You will get used Tele Fender for about $1100-$1200 from Poland.
    I saw:
    Fender Standard American/2012/- about $1150
FENDER AMERICAN PERFORMER TELECASTER 2019 -about $1100
