To any Fender Superchamp XD/X2 owners. My local Craigslist has a modified Superchamp XD for sale.
- Custom Cab to fit 12" speaker. (JD Newell very well made.)
- Custom Cab in blonde tolex.
- Cab with kick backs.
- Ted Weber 12" 12F150
The seller is asking $325.
The cab is $250, Weber speaker $120, alone.
However, there is reports that the DSP board/chip have and are failing. Also, Fender has no replacement part available.
Do you have any experiences or comments? Obviously the warranty has expired on the earlier XD model.

I have an X2, Fender stopped supporting it. Get the XD on approval basis and treat it as a disposable amp. It has some very nice tones in it.

At $325 the price for it is reasonable and can get some of your money back. But I am having a difficult time accepting the disposal mindset.
The "base" 15 watt, 12" speaker, (I really like Webers), and 2 6v6 appeal to me in a cab slightly smaller than a PRRI.

That is a simple mod but "some" is Aaron Lyon a/k/a Xtian. He is a brilliant amp builder and repairer who bailed me out with my Dumble-style build.
