Hey gang - has anybody tried one of these? I can't tell if they're carved solid or laminate. Other specs seem fine. Would appreciate any impressions/feedback that you might want to share.

I would bet that they are solid wood. Whether it is carved or pressed is an open question. In any case, they are quite expensive.

I don’t have any documentation to back up this assertion, but it’s surely solid, carved woods, based on other PRS models. I think the braces may be simply carved into the top piece, rather than being separate, glued in pieces. Is that what they mean by integrated?

I’m interested to know what’s under the bridge. Is there just a brace or some kind of support post?

They make some hollow bodies priced for mere mortals. See:

Yes I have seen many of those. They're very nice. I wonder how they sound?

In other words, do they sustain like a thin-line hollowbody? I have a nice Gibson that does that. It's not that noticeable until you switch back and forth between an acoustic archtop, then the sustain starts to bug you and you play differently.

I have concluded that the thin hollow body is great for lead stuff and blues and rock etc., but not so much for jazz playing especially when a lot of complex chords are involved. At least for me.
