Hello there friends!!
I did this very simple video with a basic tone test with iRig Acoustic Stage plugged directly to the Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer
I bought it to use in the stage with an A/B to have an acoustic and electric tone.
I just thought that some of you would like to hear the tone with an Archtop guitar.
I think that iRig is too dark and muffled without eq but I think that it will be ok live.
Please share your toughts!!

The mic also reflects the room acoustics so it sounds much more alive. But the iRig gives a much cleaner signal. In a band iRig will work much better but you’d have to find the right eq to cut through the mix. Just my opinion I may be wrong

The iRig Acoustic Stage in your video sounds rather like a magnetic humbucker pickup. It is not a bad sound-rather pleasant, to be honest-but it is not an acoustic sound. I wonder how you mounted it? On the edge of the trebleside f-hole?
If you are happy with the sound that is all that matters.

I really didn't enjoy this tone from iRig, but as I said the idea is to use on stage where a mic isn't that practical to use.
Hey jabberwocky I put it in the middle because the top is thick and it gets off in other positions.

Hi clebergf, I surmised as much that you placed it there at the edge of the f-hole. The iRig Acoustic Stage is a microphone. It is not hearing much treble in that position. If you jerry-rig a suction cup with an M4/M5/M6 thread you could hang it off the suction cup adhered to the pickguard or the guitar top close to the 14th fret. Check that the plastic suction cup is safe for the finish of your guitar. You may want to wax the spot before using the cup.

Yeah, I was thinking about a way to put it on a different position. I'll look for that. Thanks!!
