I'd like to try Evo gold frets 47 tall - 104 wide. Would it be a good election?
    Thanks and Cheers in advance.

I've just replaced the frets on my 1984 FG-100 which has the same neck and 12" radius; I used medium jumbo nickel frets which were closer to what it had and I love the way it plays. BTW, the frets already came precut and with a 12" radius.

    Cheers,
    Arnie..

That's what I used for the 1.5 hour debacle. Medical forceps and nylon fishing line to try to pull the pots and jacks through the holes. Total disaster, lol.

I even bought a pair of 14" needle nose pliers for the task. Unfortunately, I didn't pay close enough attention because they were too wide to fit into the f holes. I found the parts on ebay that I would need to make it easier but at this point, I think i'm going to just have my luthier make any mods I need.

one of the problems I had was that with 4 pots, it's really difficult to get all 4 pots and the jack oriented correctly. One of the tries I had, I got 3 of the 4 pots through the holes and tightened down but it turned out one of the wires was twisted and the 4th pot could not be oriented correctly so I had to unscrew the nuts on the 3 other pots and start over. That's why it took so long.

I recently took the two pots out of my ES165 and they became twisted. I had attached PTFE tape to the posts to pull them back up but for the life of me, they wouldn't rotate back into place.
I can't imagine trying to do it with 4.

Hello Jazz Kritter, thanks for your answer, I have already ordered the Jescar Evo Gold 47104 fretwire, they come radiused for 10 "but the seller has told me that they also adapt easily to the 12 radius when pressed on the fingerboard. Greetings to all and I wish you all a merry Christmas even though we are still immersed in the plague of covid.
PD. I can't find a way to publish photos of the guitar in the post.

Personally, I skipped straight to "let a pro do it instead"

    Well.

I just scored what must be a 1989ish(?) AF200-NT locally.

It's in PRISTINE condition and it sound gorgeous unplugged. It's really remarkable. It looks like it coulda come from the factory today.

I used to have a newer 175 that I thought I regretted selling until today.

I've committed to playing fingerstyle ONLY for the next 12 months and then see where I am. Wish me luck (I'm finally past the finger soreness). This guitar will make it way more pleasant sounding.
