So i am starting a local jazz conservatory this year and i wanted to upgrade my amp. In the end i am deciding betwen these two. I will mostly play clean but i also want to be able to play other genres aswell (blues, rock, myb metal,.....). I will mostly use it at home as my practice amp and later on as a gig amp. Which one do you guys think i should choose?
Thanks!

At certain volumes you'd be fighting to keep the Fender sounding clean.

Seems like you want to use it for various genres. Normally 40 watt rated solid state amp may not be loud enough to hang with a rock drummer. However the meaning of SS watt ratings seem to vary from brand to brand. So Jazz Chorus 40 may be is loud enough but you might want to investigate.
Jazz Chorus is also not your typical amp for those who want overdrive. Not everyone's cup of tea. It'll do jazz alright however. Jazz Chorus's also known to be noisy. If it's mostly for home use, you should pay attention to the noise before you buy it and see if it's below your noise tolerance.

Blues Junior. At most jazz volumes they are clean enough and the tube break up is perfect for rock or blues.

There are a couple other choices. For less money a DV Mark Little Jazz. For more money, a Quilter Mach2.
