    Yes, it has a maple neck. But my Tal and ES 350 have a maple neck too and they thunk like crazy.

    Maybe a P90 won't do the trick indeed ... I am thinking of putting a Gibson classic 57 in it. My Tal has those on it standard.

    I have the classic 57 in my ES-333 and find it a superb humbucker: a little darker with a nice mid texture which gives it enough treble but in a very rounded off, pleasant woody fashion. I dig!

    Apologies if somebody has already mentioned this - but the Bare Knuckle Manhattan is, in my view, a fantastic HB sized P90. It’s designed for jazz. It’s warm, day and ‘woody’. Since you’re in NL and Bare Knuckle are in the UK...it should still be reasonable value for money

    Apologies if somebody has already mentioned this - but the Bare Knuckle Manhattan is, in my view, a fantastic HB sized P90. It’s designed for jazz. It’s warm, day and ‘woody’. Since you’re in NL and Bare Knuckle are in the UK...it should still be reasonable value for money

    After trying the Phat Cat and GFS, this is where I was headed.... but then I sold the guitar.
