My 1992 Herb Ellis ES-165 that I reluctantly sold. The four times I have sold an ES-175/ES-165, I have regretted it and missed the guitar. So now I won't sell any more, but they keep accumulating and I have six now.

I know nothing about the Fender D'Aquisto....
....but that one sure looks great in black!

I owned this '68 175 for 30 years then sold it to a dealer friend. He sold it to the people who are selling it now. Great guitar.

So many nice black archtops here.....good to see the topic come back around!
I've since acquired a couple more:
1936 Gibson Black Special #4
1933 Epiphone Blackstone
(well its black with a sunburst anyway)

No, I do not own this custom Heritage H-575, but it sure is a sweetie.

1974 Les Paul Custom. My only black guitar.

There's always this.

Here’s a pic of my anniversary L5. Purchased when I turned 60 (3 years ago) Dreamed of owning an L5 since I was 16 (after hearing Wes on FM radio— i was probably searching for Duane Allman). The i in Gibson is dotted with a diamond! I wasn’t looking for bling or a black L5- but this is one sweet sounding guitar.

It's an archtop technically.

I'm usually not a fan of black guitars, but black w/gold hardware on an L-5 just pops!

I bought this 1966 Epiphone Howard Roberts from Bernunzio a few years ago. This was a photo posted on Bernunzio's sales page; I can't take a better photo than this. I posted it on an AGF thread and am re-posting it here.

That HR is purdy

Music Man 212 65W all original bought new in 1976. Never in the shop and still sounds like new. Hybrid with SS preamp. I only changed the power and phase inverter tubes. Great amp from Leo Fender.

With the open back combo atop the infinite baffle box (a one inch forward port for cooling), hands down the warmest, cleanest, most room-filling rig I ever had. My ES-345 TDSV never sounded better. And letting it go was one of the dumber things I've done in a life with a long list of examples to draw on.

An original Epiphone Howard Roberts is the only black guitar I've ever coveted.

this one popped up and is priced pretty reasonably and w/ make an offer feature
