Trying to find out what Humbuckers this might be. From an unknown Japanese archtop. Has a silver cover. Any recognizable/identifying features?

That looks like a U 1000 pickup made by Maxon or Fujigen, for a 70s Greco.

    Good pickup.

that green stuff is the sure sign that it's a fantastic sounding pickup... truly vintage... the green stuff shapes the magnetic flux generated by the magnets and imparts to each pickup a unique tone signature kind of like winding them with different numbers of turns and then soaking them in brine for maybe 25 years. But StewMac sells that green stuff in bottles now and anyone can just paint their pickup and it sounds like a vintage Japanese Maxon pickup!

Just kidding... but Seriously, if it's in the ballpark Greentone says, like if it's anything like the ones in the Aria Pro II PE180, it's a wonderful pickup.

    Thanks, Folks!

Lawson, I'm excited to buy some goop. Sounds like it's a real difference maker!

Turns out the guitar is a "Navigator" from ESP. Don't know anything about or can't find anything about it. I've seen a lot of Les Pauls, Strats and Teles they made. Seem to have a great reputation. No info on archtops.

    Will keep digging......

The Navigators were made in Japan in the early 80s. Probably a Les Paul copy.

I see. Looks like it's a Matsumoku stablemate of the Aria Pro II PE 180.

Maxon pickup for sure. Great guitar/pickups.

A Dead Ringer, even in color, for my Matsumoku made Aria Pro II PE180! If the price is right and no neck/fret issues, you should go for this one.

Is all the hardware nickel? Tailpiece? I've never seen a nickel/chrome L5 style tailpiece in real life. They are relatively rare.

    Thanks!
I've actually filed through that website and the catalog links a few days ago and never saw the guitar. Custom request?
