I always enjoy how your clips have normal family noises in the background. Plus I like the lines you play even for a casual clip like this. Well done.

That sounds pretty darn good as an OD pedal. That's more drive/gain than I can get from my TS clone. Food for thought.

Thanks, fellas. Might at least throw a baseball cap on next time, though.

It's a cool pedal though, indeed. And it sounds good with the polytone, but even better with my Henriksen or lunchbox...smaller speakers, I think...with the 15" in that polytone, you can never really dial out the "thump."

I bought the Polytone to play clean, atmospheric stuff and it works wonderfully for that. But in case I get the itch to add a little grit to my tone, what would you all recommend?

I've owned tons of OD pedals, but mostly played them through tube amps, so I'm not sure what to do with the Polytone, especially considering the distinct tone it has on its own.
I’m not an owner of Polytones but I know they work really well with overdrive pedals. Some of the vintage models even have a built-in distortion channel which reminds me soundwise of both Larry Carlton and Kurt Rosenwinkel.

I think a Tube screamer-ish pedal is the best choice. Otherwise, experiment with the gear you have and decide what pedal is best.

    Good luck!
