    Hello all,
I thought I'd share some pics of my latest guitar. It's clearly inspired by 20's L-5's. I've decided to change my focus as a builder to earlier styles of guitars. These are the guitars I should have been building since these are more in keeping with the styles of music I love and play. I just never thought anybody else had any interest in them. My new models will be named after places in Oklahoma that have an association to jazz (of which there are many) or are significant to the time. For example, this is the prototype for my new model called the Boston Ave. It's named after the Boston Ave. Church in Tulsa which was completed in 1929 and is a famous example of Art Deco architecture. I haven't decided if I'm keeping this one or not so if anyone is interested feel free to get in touch. Anyway, you all came here for pics......

It's a lovely piece. The story of your model's naming prompted me to search the church to which you refer, and it's an impressive design for sure.

That's one beautiful guitar. No unecessary "bling," just classic style and beautiful wood and shading.

That is absolutely beautiful, stunning. And I love the plain black fretboard, gorgeous. Is the neck similar to a '20s Loar profile, or thinner? I can't tell from the pictures. Sending you a related pm.

Thanks everybody. Why Oklahoma? I'm from here and for some reason I'm still here. The neck has some girth but it's nowhere near as huge as the '32 L-7 I got to take a look at. It's slimmer but similar to a mid fifties LG-1 I have kicking around the shop. Typical 20's L-5 dimensions otherwise. Scale is 24.75", nut is 1.75", parallel braced, lower bout is 16" and a depth of 3 3/8". Sitka top with quilted maple back and sides. Flamed maple neck with walnut strip (dual action truss rod). Ebony headstock veneer, fingerboard and bridge. Finish is nitrocellulose lacquer with the stain applied to the raw wood for the colors. It weighs 4.7 lbs. I'll try and get a clip of it but my recording setup consists of the mic on my MacBook (not exactly awe inspiring). Also, my website is currently being rebuilt due to my course correction.
