Seymour Duncan made. Made, past tense. The no longer offer it, and it was essentially a custom order even when they did.

I read something recently (although I can't find it now) where Pat said that he spends a lot of time setting up his Slaman before every gig and plans to continue using his Ibanez because it's much more stable. I imagine that this is the result: he's got Ibanez to make him a guitar that sounds like the Slaman but needs less day-to-day maintenance.
-
Pat’s Slaman while sounding fine when it was just him or he and Antonio, as soon as keys and/or bass came in, the guitar while not “lost” in the mix, was diminished to the point that it required more concentration from the listener to really hone in on it. Given that solid spruce guitars are generally brighter than laminates as well as CC pickups being single coils and crisper than humbuckers, I can’t figure out WHY this would occur. Shouldn’t you expect the opposite?

This came up on Facebook this morning
Is that a Kemper head?
-
Yes, he's been using the Kemper for a couple of years now. You can see its foot controller next to the Roland synth unit.

The reflections off the "bumps" of the top make me suspect that the PMCC-no prizes for naming creativity- has a laminated maple top. It looks like it is built upon the same body as the PM200 with a fancy metal tailpiece and 3-point mount CC Blade pup.
-
It seems to be a copy of slaman's project for me...same shape and junction of neck and body...and look at that weird head with different upper and lower cuts (photo 2)... ps: stolen Instagram photos
-
Any idea what's sticking out of and taped to the tailpiece?
-
don't forget that the second version ES-250 circa had picture frames as opposed to open books.

It is a toothbrush. The strap button in his guitar fell and he used it instead. He didn’t bother to change it then it became part of his image.

I believe the attachment to the tailpiece is there to support the separation of the two cables
I took another pic trying to capture the guitar. He had 2 1/4 inch cable one for the pickup and one for a mike in the f hole. During there duets he switched to a convincing acoustic sound during the bass solos on some of the songs sorry of it comes out sideways i havent mastered jgf yet posting pics

16" , laminated body ,24.75 scale ,hog neck , CC type pickup

Metheny always looks like he is having the time of his life when playing. I've seen him live and he's the real (happy) deal.
