I don't believe I've ever had any issues requiring me to reverse the switch on my two PTs.

No hum on mine. I'm thinking it was donated to Good Will by an heir of a deceased person. It's in remarkably good shape for a 50 year old amp, sure glad I noticed the auction (it was listed incorrectly). I see the same model amp in much poorer condition being sold on Reverb for 3 times the price.

I have to imagine that when this amp was built, shody house wiring was more of an issue than today. Still it's there to be used if ever necessary.
