Interesting product, Paul, I hadn't heard of them before!

I checked with Boveda: they do NOT recommend using their system for gig bags.

I assumed they weren't designed for gig bags. Another good point of the Boveda systems is that they regulate both ways, they can absorb some humidity as well if the atmosphere is too wet. I assume the Daddario are just as good, but the Boveda folk gave out some free ones to us artists at the Marchione booth at NAMM a few years back, so I stick with them out of appreciation...

I have an Oasis the has a magnet on it and comes with a clip that you can clip to the case. So, I clip the clip to the case where the cutaway is. Bingo!

2-Way Humidity Control For Wood Instruments - Boveda

just went through the “extra seasoning” with a new Taylor flat top. The guitar had been stored in a humidified room but the case was kept in the back storeroom of a GC, in Phoenix. A case hygrometer showed the D’Addario Humidipacks, same thing as the Boveda, could not keep the case above 39%. So switched to the Oasis. Ended up using 6! at a time. Eventually the humidity came up and I started removing Oasi. What was happening is that the wood case was so dry I had to get moisture back into it before the case humidity stabilized. Now the humidipacks works fine.

I also use the humidipacks on my 175 though I question the need on a total laminate. The Oasis won’t fit in the F holes so I cut the D’Addario holder in half and tied the halfs together with a foot of string.

The humidipacks, and I assume the Bovedas, can be recharged by placing them in a sealed plastic bag with a water soaked sponge or rag. Don’t let the packs touch the water source.

When we moved into our "downsize" home several years ago I was thrilled to find that the previous owner had installed an Aprilaire whole house system right into the hvac. No more worries. No filling, no cleaning, nothing. You just set the humidistat next to the unit like another thermostat. It's a really really old model, but it works great. I will definitely replace it with a newer version if it dies.

I've heard it's best to use distilled water if you're going to try to recharge them, otherwise there is a risk of some mold issues.

Go to Target, spend ~$1 (US) on a plastic travel soap container. Drill a few holes in the top. Moisten a cheap sponge and drop that beast in there. Throw it in the case and check it every week or so. Works great at altitude in Colorado and costs less than a couple bucks.

ps - My pic got cut off at the top, but you can see the little hose that feeds it coming off of the water line into the hot tank. There's a little needle valve if for some reason you really have to shut it down. But I've never had to. Just adjusting the humidistat (which is also out of view) a couple of times a year takes car of it.
