I am debating whether to pull the trigger on this high clarity, strictly voiced for traditional jazz, 15.5 pound wonder. Labor Day 15% off the $399 at GC thus: $339, plus 10% tax, free shipping, 30 day return at local G.C. Talk me out of it?

Don't want, already have. Great amp, it's what I almost always carry out. Used it today.

Where is it on sale?

Guit. Center (the only US dealer and M.F.) Labor Day Sale 15% off the regular $399... thus: $339, plus tax 10%, free shipping, 30 day return at local GC. Talk me out of it?

Blille, your guitar looks like my guitar. What is it?

Not very different

Also, I listened tAlso, I listened to a lot of YouTube videos where they did a side by side comparison and the Little 8" had more clarity and presence than the 12", imo. I think it should by design. I see no reason to talk you out of buying what is my own favorite amp. It's really nice, has every single feature I want in an amp, is reliable, easy to carry... I almost want to buy another just to have two of them! I'm a real DVMark fan-boy, though, so ignore me...

It's a super light small handy grab and go amp with a great jazz voice.
I like the Little Jazz a lot, though I must admit that I greatly prefer playing through tube amps.

If I told you that I just paid $542.00 USD for mine, would you feel more confident about getting it?

I have one. I use it to practice a lot. Sounds decent, except for the reverb. If you like a good bit of reverb I expect you'll be disappointed. I like that it's white for some reason.
-
A nice amp, especially for the price. If you do not like the onboard reverb, decent reverb pedals are cheap.

I bought tires on Labor Day

DV Mark Jazz is a much more entertaining sale item
I have the Little Jazz and am a big fan.
-
Did you get it?
I have two DV mark transistor amps and couldn't be happier.
-
Not yet. How does Little Jazz compare in tone to Kitana? GC is running its Sale thru 9/15

I´ve had the dv jazz 12 now for about 3 weeks or so and played it quite a bit. I´m really happy with it, i´ve been comparing it to my old 68 vibrolux reverb. I just got new tubes for the vibrolux and going back to back.. the vibrolux has a slightly softer, fuller, dynemic sound to me.
But that dv jazz is really good, and i have never tried a ss amp that i like so much. And it´s sooooo light and nice to carry around that i´ve pretty much only used it for gigs and rehearsals since i got it and no other amp. i find the reverb to be good but not great, so i think i´ll get a reverb pedal to company the amp.

Two completely differnent amps. The Katana is a modeling amp with lots of amps and pedals digitally simulated. The LJ is a simple single channel amp with a digital reverb. For jazz, imo, the LJ wins hands down. For rock, the Katana has high gain models to melt jet age plastic.

Just buy it. I was lucky to grab one for 250 euro. It was a sale and i had a coupon,
didn’t really needed an amp (have a 74 deluxe reverb and a polytone baby brute) but decided to try it for that price after all the praise it got here. Could have returned it after 30 days but it’s here to stay.
Sounds great, probably now use it the most out of the 3 amps.
Because of it’s size, how you position it is very important. Flat on the floor it had too much bass for my taste.. when i timt it back it’s perfect. Thinking about building a new cab for it, like those wedged mambo amps.
Another great feature is the xlr out. I have been trying for years to get a nice jazz sound out of modelers like bias and sgear. Imho the xlr out of the lj straight to my interface sounds better.

By the way, Musicians Friend is now running a 20% off sale on the Little Jazz: Access Denied.
I'm very happy with my Little Jazz. It's easy to get a nice warm jazz tone out of the amp with no fuss. I just set the tone controls to 12 o'clock. I also have a Rivera Suprema Jazz 55 and it takes a lot more work to get a good, warm tone out of it. It just has more controls to fiddle with, so more adjustability and choices to make. With that said, once dialed in, it's great and has more harmonic complexity than the Little Jazz.
-
Hmmm . . . Not sure why "Access Denied" shows up as the link, but I can click on it and get to the MF webpage.
-
It has happened to me before. It works fine.

I bought one used here in Tokyo (the only one I could find at the low low price of ~$600... yay import taxes) and took it back a few weeks later. The fan was so loud it was unuable at home. Plus the overall tone, while great with my archtop, was pretty sterile with other guitars. That fan though... nonstop annoyance. Now I just use a modded 5e3 and it does the home and gigging thing plus sounds amazing with all my guitars. I made the kit myself and ended up paying maybe $800 for it total.
