Curious where you got the nicer replacement tailpiece and the maker? I'm thinking of trying one of these out - not sure I want to do the deep-dive and replace the pickups anytime soon, but at least the tailpiece would be an easy and nice-looking mod. Thanks...

I had one of those Ibanez around when this thread was started. And after the tailpiece just popped off one day, I seriously considered doing the makeover. But I ended up just replacing that part with another cheap one and selling it as is. However, the OP certainly had a good eye recognizing its potential to be something special. I got it for its good looks, and enjoyed playing it while it lasted.
