That's so great. A number of my cats never could resist an open guitar case: guitar in or not. I think aside from how much animals like sitting in boxes and things they can get cozy in there's the smells from the wood and fabric. Hey if YOU'RE into whatever is in it they wanna be too...

Very fine bokeh in both your photos too! You're quite the photographer, and that's one fine lens!

    Yeah...kinda.
About 12 years ago I bought an archtop from a luthier who has since been dragged through the mud online and gone out of business. (Big mistake on my part!) This guy quickly got a reputation for sloppiness and shoddy work. When it arrived, I opened the case it shipped in and a good amount of an abrasive crunchy substance fell out. This stuff had lodged between the guitar and case and had badly scratched the finish in a few places. Turns out it was vomited cat kibble! The luthier explained to me that his cat liked to nap in the open cases and it must have lost its lunch on this occasion.

In fairness to the luthier, he did cover the cost of finish repairs that I had done locally. My local luthier did a fantastic job and I can't find where the marks occurred. Unfortunately, I am stuck with this guitar which has a bunch of other problems.
