I read in a Vintage Guitar ( I think ) article that in addition to the lightweight and resonance from that - there are cutouts in the center block which cause the Guitar ( Sadowky Semi Hollow ,and I assume the air column inside ) -
to vibrate as ONE PIECE rather than two isolated halves like a 335 .
And Sadowsky's design is different from everyone who copied that 335 design endlessly.
Sadowsky designed it (his semi ) to be more of an Archtop sound it said in the article.
On Jack Z's demos ..even before I read all that ..I noticed the Sadowsky Semi sounded like a smaller cousin to his Barney Kessel ( very subjective ).
But Comins obviously has some winners at very good price points .....Last edited by Robertkoa; 09-27-2018 at 10:26 AM.

Blonde looks great!
Do the sunburst finishes look as nice?

These guitars still being made? I can never find them in stock anywhere and nobody seems to talk about them anymore. Would like a black one if possible.

No idea on current production, but what about the one on reverb right now? I think the price just dropped a little bit. Also, G n J has one listed as available. I don't think I've ever seen a black one and the comins website only pictures natural and burst. I'm interested in this model also, but have resolved to only seriously consider if one pops up local to me, mostly in an effort to keep my GAS in check!
