...except for nasty crack that once glued back on with vintage hide glue from a long dead nag will put it back to original mint condition. Let's not quibble.

Hey, this is the Guitar, Amps & Gizmos area, so what kind of bass is it?

just to explain my “damage story” better, I bought that guitar (50s Epiphone) in one piece from a store in NY, but seller shipped to me without any protection whatsoever, it arrived like that. Big hole in the side too. I was sooo disappointed because it was a perfectly good guitar and I couldnt imagine why they shipped it that poorly.

The buyer / shop is now offfering it at 4x my price advertising as original with “some minor repairs”.Last edited by fws6; 01-24-2018 at 08:14 AM.

I read somewhere that Jesse van Ruller reversed his car once and completely trashed his beloved Levin guitar, which he had forgotten to put in the car.
Of course on the plus side, when somebody stepped on Dizzy Gillespie's trumpet they did him a huge favour!

I didn't know about its connection to you, Frank. I thought you meant it as a wry illustration of the dangers of vintage guitar fishing. Sorry about my remark; I wasn't imputing anything about you but about the dealer...Yaaaah!
