Matt, that is FAB. How the heck did you get in there to mount them?

    Thanks Woody!
Mounting the controls was fairly easy because the neck extension was routed with a pre fit recessed area to accept the controls for a solid mount. This was part of the build plan. Adding this to an existing guitar could be a major challenge.

The pick up is mounted to the finger rest. The vol. and tone are mounted to the neck extension.

So how does it work if you need to remove the fingerrest? Are there connectors, or a solid soldered connection?

The finger rest has threaded studs embedded in it to mount the pick up with several nuts. All the wires are soldered. Everything is easy to reverse. The thumbwheels are held in place with strong double sided mounting tape. If you don't want a finger rest you could mount the pick up to the neck as there are two threaded brass inserts on the treble side of the neck for pick up mounting needs.

Hi, what brand guitar is this? or is it a custom made one? (the one you showed in your comment)

Haven't seen Matt around for awhile, and I'm not sure he's still building, but he is a luthier and builder, and that's one of his. A few forum members have guitars he built.

Matt is, I believe, retired, and has left us a legacy of superb instruments.
