Used Ear Candy cabs are often available on Reverb or ebay. And they're already built and ready to go.

I bought a Bud and really liked it, thought it would be even better with a Ray. Bought the Ray but it seemed to over power the Bud, and there is no volume control or attenuation on it. The only way to balance the sound is to add distance between them, which is impractical. Then got the new Jazz Amp 10 and have not touched the Bud or Ray since, it is that good.

I noticed this too with the volume between the two, with what im using now the powered FBT wedge, it has a volume pot on the back.

Doesn't seem like much love here for the Ray with the Bud.. Anyone have experience with the original now out-of-production Bud extension speaker? If I can find one, would that be a better choice than the Ray?

Try a Raezer's Edge NY8 instead.

Thanks Marc. I keep reading good stuff about Raezer's Edge; and validation from a working gig-meister and gear aficionado such as yourself is solid stuff indeed. Actually, I believe a buddy of mine has a Raezer's edge cab so I think I need to go check it out...
